Emotional Intelligence in Organizations and Project Management

Please join us on March 15 in welcoming our PMI Coastal Bend Chapter President Rene Ramirez. Rene Ramirez will present on key aspects & techniques of Emotional Intelligence based on the work by Daniel Goleman. Emotional Intelligence refers to the ability to identify and regulate our own emotions, to recognize the emotions of other people and feel empathy towards them. Emotional Intelligence techniques can be used to communicate effectively and build healthy, productive relationships with others. The practice of Emotional Intelligence has been shown to reduce employee turnover and increase return on investment. Emotional Intelligence is a learned skill not a personality trait, and can help Project Managers guide and lead their project team to better performance.
