August 16, 2022 Membership Meeting: The Future of the Region
Brittany Sotelo was appointed as Vice President of Business Retention and Expansion for the CCREDC in November 2021.
Prior to joining the CCREDC, Brittany served as Economic Development Specialist for the City of Arlington Office of Economic Development. Brittany managed several areas of focus from 2016-2021 including marketing and research, small business initiatives and special projects.
Additionally, she worked on diverse private-public partnerships including the recruitment of the National Medal of Honor Museum, the Tarrant County Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program, and transformational redevelopment and development projects within Arlington’s four tax increment reinvestment zones: Viridian, Downtown, Entertainment District and International Corridor.
Prior to her time in Arlington, Brittany served as Marketing Specialist for Odessa Chamber of Commerce; the primary economic development service contractor for the Odessa Development Corporation. As Specialist, Brittany managed the business retention and expansion program that entailed connecting businesses with community partners and business resources. For her efforts, she was awarded the 2016 District Star Award by the Small Business Administration’s Lubbock-West Texas District Office.
Brittany started her economic development career as a Business Consultant for the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Small Business Development Center, where she provided support to aspiring entrepreneurs with startup guidance and existing business owners with creative solutions to grow their business.
Brittany graduated from University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She has over nine years of experience in the economic development field and has developed a wealth of knowledge working on various projects in multiple industries.
