February 16, 2021 Membership Meeting: Use of Smartsheet
Linda Cruz Flores:
Linda Cruz Flores is originally from Ohio currently residing in Corpus Christi. She is a Project Manager for the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Before joining Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Linda worked for Texas Health and Human Services as a Program Manager. Some of her accomplishments include managing programs such as Abandoned babies project, Medical Services for Transitional and Foster Care Youth and establishing a partnership with the Office of Refugee and Resettlement for Unaccompanied Minor Children and Refugee Services.
Shifting gears from program management to project management has been seamless as this is part of Linda’s signature offering; a strong attention to continuous improvement, identifying organizational structure and needs; and playing a significant role in directing the completion of specific projects to meet organizational goals.
Linda has most recently moved from Austin to Corpus Christi, Texas where she and her husband of 26 years are raising their twin 12-year-old daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and most recently discovered her love for fishing. Being on the coast will do that!
Patricia Phillips:
Patricia Philipps has been a certified PMP since September 2005 and a member of the PMI Coastal Bend Chapter. Patricia worked for Electronic Data Systems and Capital One as an IT Project Manager while residing in the DFW area. When an opportunity arose to ‘return home’ she took a position as the IT Project Manager at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Over the years she has worked with various Project/Program Management tools and is especially excited about the versatile functionality of Smartsheet, particularly when paired with the collaborative nature of Microsoft TEAMS.
